Northumberland ist eine recht verlassene und trotzdem enorm photogene Region im Nordosten Englands, direkt an der Grenze zu Schottland. Lange vor den Römern siedelten hier bereits Menschen, die Römer bauten den Hadrians Wall, in unserer Zeitrechnung wurden Schlösser an herausragenden Orten gebaut. Es gibt viel zu sehen hier. Doch wir gingen es ruhig an und konzentrierten uns während diesen Familienferien auf einen sehr kleinen Umkreis rund um Beadnell. |
Bamburgh Castle
Northumberland is a quite lonely and still very photogenic region in Northeastern England next to the Scottish borders. Long before the Romans arrived and built Hadrians Wall there were people living here. In our time many castles were built at exceptional locations. There is lots of things to do and see here. But were chose the easy way and concentrated on a very small area around Beadnell during our family holidays. | |
