Loch Lomond

Nach der Besteigung des Cobbler nutzten wir den Nachmittag bei jetzt sonnigem Wetter, um noch ans Loch Lomond zu fahren. Dieser See bildet das Zentrum des Loch Lomond and the Trossachs Nationalparks. Ben Lomond ist der grosse Berg im Hintergrund.

Tip: Am Loch Lomond gibt es ein YHA in einem Haus aus dem 19. Jahrhundert. Es gilt als das schönste Hostel in Schottland - und es hat da einen Geist.

Loch Lomond

After having climbed Cobbler we enjoyed the afternoon at Loch Lomond, warmed by the now shining sun. That lake is the center of the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park. Ben Lomond is the tall mountain in the background, overviewing the loch.

Tip: At Loch Lomond there is a YHA in an imposing country house built in the 19th century. It is one of the most beautiful hostels in Scotland - and it is haunted.

Luss

Touristisch total überlaufen mit Parkplätzen für tausende Autos, das ist Luss. Und trotzdem ist dieser kleine Ort eine wirkliche Schönheit und einen Besuch auf jeden Fall wert. Die Häuser im Zentrum sehen alle fast identisch aus. Nach einem Rundgang genossen wir Kaffee und Tee im Coach House Coffee Shop.

Full of tourists and providing parking lots for thousands of cars, that is Luss. But nonetheless this village is a real beauty and definitely worth a visit. The buildings in the center all look very similar. After a short tour we enjoyed coffee and tea at the Coach House Coffee Shop.
