J2SE JDK1 installation
(Microsoft Windows)
Before installing the NetBeans IDE you have to install the newest version of J2SE JDK.
- Download J2SE JDK Installer from Sun.
- Start the installer application.
- Accept the license agreement.
- Choose which items to install. You probably don't need the demos and the sources, but you will need the
public JRE to run Java applications (like the NetBeans IDE).
- Installation is running...
- Press 'Finish'.
NetBeans IDE installation (Microsoft Windows)
- Download NetBeans IDE Installer from NetBeans.org.
- Start the installer application.
- Press 'Next' and, in the following dialog, accept the license agreement.
- Now you can choose the installation directory and confirm.
- The next dialog asks for the J2SE JDK. Probably there is only one listed, so just confirm it.
- There follows an overview of the installation options that can just be overread and corfirmed.
- Installation is running...
- Press 'Finish'.

- Download NetBeans IDE Installer from NetBeans.org.
- Start the installer application.
- Press 'Next' and, in the following dialog, accept the license agreement.
- Now you can choose the installation directory and confirm.
- There follows an overview of the installation options that can just be overread and corfirmed.
- Installation is running...
- Press 'Finish'.
