Just at the doors to the famous Bryce Canyon National Park there is the almost unknown Red Canyon State Park (not even mentioned in the Lonely Planet Southwest). Most visitors just pass by looking for the sign showing the way to the bigger brother. We think that this park is definitely worth a stop. You can hike there and enjoy the hoodoos while you're all alone.
