Alcatraz, the prison island where guys such as Al Capone spent some time of his life

View from Alcatraz towards downtown San Francisco. I don't really understand why it was so difficult to swim from the island to the main land, it's not that far, and in summer the water temperature may have some temperature, too.

The reason why the Golden Gate Bridge has this color: Of all colors it's best seen in fog... Lucky I was in 1999, when I could see at least some parts of this bridge.
