That's probably what many Europeans imagine when thinking about the western part of the US: Long, straight highways. |
Close to Utah the environment becomes more and more hilly. That's where the Colorado plateau is about to be eroded by rivers such as the Colorado. The result are canyons like famous Grand Canyon. |
